Dr. Rebecca Brown, associate professor in the Department of Plant Sciences and Entomology at the University of Rhode Island, will address improving productivity in the home vegetable garden through building soil health and extending the harvest season. Dr. Brown teaches and conducts research on vegetable production, and serves on the leadership team for the Sustainable Agriculture program.
The Beechwood Lecture Series is a joint effort of the URI Master Gardeners Association and the RI Wild Plant Society. Master Gardeners receive education credits for attending.
