Water, water, too much running too quickly into the Scituate Reservoir. Rain gardens, as well as tree filter systems, driveway mediations and water retention areas, funded by a pilot project from DEM, now slow the flow.  Most of these projects are applicable to homeowners seeking to manage and mitigate storm water. This program is the second case study in a three part series, Habitat Restoration Challenges.

Molly Allard, Education and Outreach specialist with Northern Rhode Island Conservation District, will begin with short presentation at the North Scituate Library Conference Room, followed by an onsite tour and discussion.  The walk covers about 3/4ths of a mile on easy terrain.

Participants – minimum 7, maximum 15
Fee – Free

Advance registration required.

Sorry, this program is full. Please contact office@riwp.org if you would like to be placed on a waiting list.
