NEW DATE.* Just two miles over the border, Connecticut’s Chase Reservoir has rich soils supporting a fantastic display of spring wildflowers. We should see Blue Cohosh, Purple Trillium (including a white form), Blood-root, Round-lobed Hepatica, Downy Yellow Violets, Spikenard, and Swamp Saxifrage. The site also has interesting ferns such as Rattlesnake Fern, Maidenhair Spleenwort, and Walking Fern. (Rain Date: Sunday May 17, 9 am to noon)
*(This program was rescheduled from May 2 to May 16 based on Nature’s timing. The emergence of wildflowers at Chase Reservoir has been delayed this year.)
-Walk will be 1-2 miles, mostly off trails with a couple of hills.
