Diamond Hill is a large hill on Diamond Hill Road in Cumberland, Rhode Island, which contains a town park and former ski area. The summit is 481 feet above sea level. On a clear day, the Boston skyline and Mount Wachusett are visible. We will explore an unusual habitat of a hickory/hop hornbeam summit on a Carex lawn over thin soil as well as a small, sunny sphagnum bog. Hopefully see four-leaved milkweed, greater purple fringed bog-orchid, water horsetail, hoary mountain mint, and large-leaved wood-aster.
