You may have heard the talk, now lets do the walk

Last March Alicia Lehrer, Executive Director of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, spoke at our annual meeting about the organization’s work to transform a long swath of neglected landscape along a section of this river in the Olneyville area into a friendly and healthy habitat. 

Come join us for a walk along the bike, path planted with natives, by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council. Lisa Aurecchia, the Council’s Director of Projects will lead us along this urban greenway. Learn about the challenge with invasive plants and about the restoration work that has been done. Pack a lunch or check out one of the many restaurants in Olneyville.
