RIWPS CULTIVATION NOTES
Learn how to propagate and grow our local native plant species.
The production of Rhode Island Wild Plant Society’s “Cultivation Notes” began in 1987 with the first distribution of the RIWPS bulletin. More than 35 years later, “Cultivation Note” remains a regular feature in RIWPS’ bi-annual publication, WildfloraRI. The Cultivation Note series offers our readership botanical and horticultural knowledge and guidance for growing native plants.
This ebook provides a dedicated space for our rich collection of Cultivation Notes. From entries about trees and shrubs, to forbs, graminoids, and ferns, the Cultivation Notes in this book provide detailed identification characteristics, propagation tips, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of growing native plants.
This is the first iteration of our digital Cultivation Note collection. Our hope is to use this ebook as a living collection in which new Cultivation Notes featured in future Wildflora issues will be added periodically to this digital platform in the meantime find new notes below our ebook! We encourage novices and experts alike to contribute to our Cultivation Notes!
